Andersen spearheaded negotiations for the acquisition of lands along the sixty-six acre strip of unused railroad that surrounds downtown now known as the Beltline. The case presented extraordinary difficulties, including having just a few months of preparation time and over two-hundred separate parcels of land — some of which had title issues stretching back to the time when General Sherman burned Atlanta!
Despite these challenges, Andersen and his Georgia commercial real estate and banking attorney team were able to complete the deal on the last business day of 2004.
