Kate advises clients across a wide range of industries and her practice focuses on assisting business owners throughout every stage of their corporate lives – from entity formation, to drafting and negotiating partnership and operating agreements, to mergers and acquisitions, and dissolution matters. She also acts as general counsel to a number of domestic and international businesses, providing advice on a variety of matters including contracts, employment and intellectual property law, general corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

As part of Kate’s employment law practice, she works closely with employers on a full range of labor and employment workforce issues, including employee manuals, personnel policies, termination procedures, and employment contracts. She also helps employers navigate investigations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct and other employment-related claims, and her experience helps employers avoid costly and time-consuming litigation.

Kate received her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Kate served as both Executive Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and Chair of the Negotiation Team, and was named Champion at the Southeastern Regional Transactional LawMeet. Prior to attending law school, Kate began her career as a Congressional Staffer on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
