Criminal Defense Attorney Pat McDonough Recognized With The Gwinnett County Chamber’s Public Service Award

Andersen, Tate & Carr is proud to recognize attorney Patrick McDonough’s achievement in being the recipient of the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce’s Public Service Award.

The Public Service Award is given to members of the community who have dedicated their time and talents to others, helping to make the community a better place for all. Recipients have demonstrated a track record of service over the years, going beyond the boundaries of their profession to make Gwinnett stronger.

Mr. McDonough has been an active participant within Gwinnett County, focusing on the welfare of the community, particularly in his battle to fight homelessness. This year, McDonough worked with the United Way of Greater Atlanta to secure $500,000 from Gwinnett County to combat homelessness, and helped to set a two-year plan to achieve their goals.

McDonough has also worked hand in hand with the Gwinnett Re-entry Intervention Program (GRIP), which works to provide housing and services for individuals exiting jail in order to make their re-entry into society more manageable. The program has helped lower recidivism in Atlanta, and given former inmates a new direction in life. McDonough’s work proves that he doesn’t just fight for his clients in the courtroom, but battles to keep the formerly incarcerated from returning to jail.

We’re proud of his accomplishments both within the firm and in Gwinnett County, and are pleased to see him recognized for his years of public service.
