James F. Duggan
James F. Duggan is a part of the commercial real estate group at Andersen, Tate & Carr. His practice covers a wide range of matters within both real estate and banking. His real estate work includes commercial real estate acquisition and disposition, leasing, development, and finance. His banking work primarily involves the representation of institutional lenders in loan transactions secured by real or personal property, and representation of institutional lenders in loan workouts and foreclosure proceedings.
Before going to law school, Mr. Duggan worked in such various fields as international currency arbitrage and risk exposure reduction, agricultural and wildlife management, and sales in the wholesale building supply industry. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Mercer University School of Law in 2007, where he was a recipient of the Faculty Legal Writing Award, and he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1998, where he majored in Marketing and was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity.
Mr. Duggan was admitted to the practice of law in the state of Georgia in 2007 and became a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association the same year. He is a member of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the Buckhead Heritage Society, and the 300 Club of Atlanta. He is on the Board of Directors of The Gwinnett Children’s Shelter and The Nine O’Clocks, is a 2011 Executive Committee member of Pulling for the Kids (sporting clays tournament benefitting the Marcus Autism Center), and is currently active in Gwinnett’s Relay for Life campaign benefiting the American Cancer Society.
